Whenever you’re recruiting for a vacancy you’re never quite sure who will apply for the vacancy. Sometimes you need to keep an open mind when reviewing the CV as you might be recruiting for a circle but find a talented triangle that will add extra value to the business, so you need to shuffle your existing staff to allow the new triangle to shine within your business.

Not every position is filled by placing an advert on SEEK. Most quality vacancies have been filled by employee referrals. Your valuable employees or industry network are a great source for potential applicants for your vacancies. Also, when you’re advertising for a vacancy you could stop and think where your potential applicants might be looking? If you’re still having no luck finding suitable applicants then I would always ask where would your employees be looking for employment? There is a number of vacancies that are been advertised on social media and industry associations. Our society is moving towards communicating through social media for personal and business.
